| Burning Hospital Dream.
The dream i had last night is really haunting me. I was in the hospital, I'm not sure why. The fire alarm went off, and people were fleeing out of all the doors. But the doctors were saying that they needed volunteers to help evacuate patients who were unable to walk but well enough to move. [im sure that doesn't happen in reality, well, i hope not anyway] For a few minutes i was simply with a few of my friends, running up and down and desperate for the lift doors to open, but then everyone dissapeared, and the lift broke. I found myself on floor 4, the leukemia ward. It was eerily silent, except for the sound of distant flames. By now the flames had destroyed floor 7 and 6 and were starting on floor 5, above my head. Looking for a fire escape, i stumbled across a room containing 3 young people, 1 of them a stranger, the other 2 were some of my closest friends. Seeing my friends, so weak and sickly that they could have been mistaken for children, was really disturbing. They told me that the people along the ward had already had their sheets pulled over them, alive, they had so little chance of surviving this fire. My two friends, Katie and Phil, and the little girl with them had already resigned to the fact that they were in lockdown, and were going to burn to death. I didn't know what to do. I had already spotted a fire escape in the corner of the room. Leave my friends to die and escape now? Or stay with them and risk the chance of being killed myself. I couldn't take them down the fire-escape, they were plugged to machines keeping them alive. I stayed with them, and pretty soon i heard the sound of the ceiling collapsing at the end of the corridor, the roar of the now very close fire and -unnervingly- the muffled sound of screaming. I kept on losing it, and hugging Katie and Phil. They, however, seemed completely devoid of emotion. They barely acknowleged my tears, and hugs, and nobody spoke, excpet for occasional outbursts from the little girl, quickly stifled. We stayed in that little room for what felt like hours, just waiting for those flames to come and consume us. But they never came. The crackling, crashing and rage-filled roar of the fire faded out, the screams stopped, and the acrid smell of burning drifted away. I ventured out into the hall, and a really weird sight met me. Halfway down the the corridor was a pair of huge double doors, inches thick. From my end of the corridor to the doors, the corridor was pure white. From the double doors to the other end of the corridor it was ruins. Pushing open the heavy-duty doors, the smell of something terrible hit me. I was too scared to even find out what it was, so i wondered into what i knew wasn't a ward, more of an office. Everything in this room had been reduced to rubble, except for one blue wall, a table and a projector. These were pristine. On the wall, dancing shapes were being projected. Simple, childish shapes, mixing together and changing colors. I left this room, and while i was walking back to the room with my friends in, the elevator doors at the end of the corrior pinged and slid open. I wooped, ran into my friends room and collected the little girl on her bed. In the next few minutes, i managed to get all 3 of the patients outside. I heard the low murmur of voices, and headed in that direction. Assembled in the brightest of snow was a haphazard collection of people. Around 6 people dressed in normal clothes, and with each of them 3 hospital beds, each with a patient curled up on it. Of the normal clothed people, i saw i knew all of them very well. And with each of them, 2 out of 3 of their patients where close family or friends. For example i saw my mum's friend Kris, who was with an elderly woman, her beloved daughter and her ex-husband. Suddenly, everyone smiled, Katie hugged me, and I woke up. This is by far the most vivid dream i have ever had. The scream of dying people, the sound and smell of burning, the pure strangeness of surviving, being locked in a hospital left to die, the unnerving sight of my friends reduced to the wisps of what they once were....its haunting me. I'm not going to ask "what do you think this means???" cause, well, it could mean anything. But i would like to hear if anyone has any views on it. Oh, sorry for writing so much btw, it just kept on coming. |

Well this one is simple to me at least. Cherish your friends, they will be your rock, your salvation. This is a cool and descriptive dream. It means you would die for your friends and it doesn't mean much, just that you should stick by them through thick and thin.

I agree with idiotmonkey12, you obviously care a lot about your friends and family and would be lost without them.
