Here’s the story:
I'm 18, graduated and have NO IDEA as to what I should do with the rest of my life.

I started off in high school racing to become successful, a mechanical engineer was in my sights. What a bust THAT was! I was one of the best when it came to physics, but chemistry and calculus screwed me up! So now I'm kicking myself for taking all the academic courses in high school, when I SHOULD have taken the basic courses to go to college and choose from there. But I was stupid and I didn't. So now I'm limited to what I can do
So now, I'm stuck where I don't want to be: not knowing what to do. I’m currently working as a receptionist in a small company and I hate my job. But beggars can’t be choosers (so they say) and I’m stuck here making money for school until I’ve figured out what I want to do.

I WANT to get an apprenticeship, but I don't know what in. I've considered becoming a car or diesel engine mechanic (seeing as I know a little more then most girls), a welder, or even a driver of some kind (looking more into locomotive engineering… that would be so cool!), but I don't know if that's what I want to do. Not to mention, I’ve heard HORROR stories of women getting into trades and not finding a place to hire them just because they are female and looked at as being “incapable of physically strenuous work”
I was accepted into the military as a weapons technician, but I had to back out of that because, well, I fell in love and am moving to Australia (teehee)

The problem I really have is that I've asked all the questions necessary to finding a career but I just can't answer them:
“What peaks your interests?” – I really don't know anymore
“What hobbies do you have” – don’t have any (guess you could say im boring)
“What do you enjoy doing?” – working! It’s so fun! I LOVE sitting on my a** in front of a computer all day!

I just don’t want to get into something and end up hating it.

Any advice? I have to find out in the next six months, so I'm under pressure.

stay in school, retake the high school courses for another year. thats what my friend did. he then applied for uni and made it in.
