the Wii is a casual console. and the PS3 has basically copied the motion thing..

oh, and as for the Wii being a flop, not gonna happen. as long as Nintendo brings out consoles and games in Japan, Nintendo will always be in profits. profits mean its not a flop. Japan just spends money on Nintendo and hates Microsoft, and sort of hates Sony (stereotypical, i know, but im not japanese, nor have i ever been there. im going on reviews etc.)

Its quite obvious. For a dedicated gamer, the 360 has far better games, graphics, online play, and it costs little more. The Wii has a different controller(still waiting to see the general public idea's on it) and lower cost. The Wii will sell because of its price and Nintendo's reputation for being more family/children oriented. I see it as being another third place console just like the Gamecube before it. But hey, you never know, only time will tell.

Eeerr, Wii! Not fully HD but still worthy of the name next gen, isn't it? Think of all the tech just in the remote...mic, speaker, loads of tilt sensors, similar to a light gun as well.

Also I'd like to point out that Nintendo and ATI decided not to go HD to make it use less power, and not be noisy due to loads of fans. They made it like that for the Wii Connect 24.

i dont see any point in a HD tv for the next gen games. you're already forking out about 1000 pounds for the consoles (if you buy all three) then you have to pay even more to have a "good" tv to play them all on

they're next gen consoles! no matter what the tv, its gonna be awesome!

I would have one but for the lack of space/money, and I'm in top sets at school across the board. Predicted an A or A* in English, and got an A* on the Physics mock.

Anyway, as has been said, if you're into more casual gaming go for the Wii. If you want to do more serious, higher graphics stuff/play Gears of War (unless it's on PC.... is it?) then the 360.

I'm after a Wii because of the control system and the moving-controller-around thingy mostly, to be honest. Looks amazing And fun.

Its all a matter of personal choice. I believe in the 360 mostly because I like fast online action games especially shooters and racing. The Wii does seem geared towards the younger kids, it all depends on what you like personally.
