Tears, Tantrums ... Help!

Ohmiiigoood.
Life is so awful at the moment :[
I feel like I'm drowning in my own tears!
And all because of one person ...

MY TEACHER.

I know, I know. Please don't start lecturing me on the basics of a relationship between a teacher and student. I'm not quite that thick, please. Sorry - not trying to be rude, but it gets tiring hearing the old same lecture all the time.

The thing is, he's leaving next Tuesday and I'm totally DEPRESSED. Honestly. I have to admit, I am quite a sensitive person, and when these situations crop up on me I end up heartbroken in the end. I guess you could say I've had crushes on other teachers before as well.

I guess I'll just have to look forward to a lovely damp, mascara-smeared pillow for christmas :[

It's hard when you lose something or someone you've become quite attatched to,but in some ways you have to lose things to progress and move on.
You could always make him a really nice leaving card-wishing him lots of luck for whatever he does next, and leave him some love.-that could make you feel a wee bit better

Re: Tears, Tantrums ... Help!

Govinda89 - I suppose you've never had a crush on a teacher then? I'm not trying to sound rude, but all I'm asking for is some advice - not someone to laugh at me. This is the whole point of this topic ...

Strawberry_aid - Thanks for your reply :] I've already given him a christmas card, lol. Umm ... I shall mention not many students like him for some reason, and I think I'm the only student out of the school who enjoys being around him. I'll also take on your idea of making him a leaving card to give to him next week :] If I didn't, I'd probably regret it.

Re: Tears, Tantrums ... Help!

Shadowless - I've been visiting a seperate forum that discusses this kind of thing. It's helped a little bit, but I still feel like I'm never going to be happy again :[ Yesterday this other teacher I had a crush on (and I think I still do have my old feelings for him) came along and, just by simply saying "Hello", I just burst into tears after he was out of sight. I'm not looking forward to christmas one bit because I dread how I'll be feeling emotionally ... Oh, and I have to tell you this!
This morning I was talking to Sir, when our chat suddenly turned to when he'd be leaving. He told me he doesn't actually know yet whether he's coming back after christmas or not, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high. You see, he's covering for my original Chemistry teacher because she's had an operation.

Re: Tears, Tantrums ... Help!

do u know even feeling could be programmized?u have got used to that feeling for too long maybe.the only choice u can make now is to maitain him only as one of ur best memories or forget totally.u see i can make u understand everything i know but at least u should learn that a true love or life shouldnt be accompanied by tears of dissatisfaction.what if u remain in a depression?ur friends will leave u one by one and finally this teacher wont talk to u any more.think it over

Depression...the single most abused word in the emo dictionary.

Having seen and felt it around me in the past, it gets right on my tits when people try to express something like this as depression.

Depression ruins lives. It's something that most people don't even realise they have.

Re: Tears, Tantrums ... Help!

You need to stop clinging so much to teachers. Hard as it sounds, theyve taught hundreds of students in their life, and even though you say very few people like him, which means that you probably do stand out from the blur abit, you are still just a child, someone he's not legally allowed to have any sort of relationship with any further than as a friend.

It sounds very hard for you, and they'll be people around to help you if things get bad. But you have already condemned yourself to remaining forever heartbroken in your mind. Sit back, and try to get things a bit straighter in your mind, people do move on.

In the end, its this guy's job that you have to accept.

But, whatever, i know a guy you like/love leaving is a horrible thing at the time, and if you need to chat, feel free to PM.

Re: Tears, Tantrums ... Help!

hey, i saw you on another posting page. although i cant say i ever had a serious crush on a teacher, i have had them. gosh, at this point in our lives, i believe that every joy should be cherished, and every disapointment mourned, but in a learning fashion. life's sucked for me and my family for about 3 years, with hurricanes and divorce of my parents, and probs at home...if ya wanna chat, you can find me .

Excuse me? I'm not a child. Stop jumping to the conclusion that only 11-year-olds have crushes as well, because I've met people that are 18 years old and still have a crush on their teacher. I'm not trying to sound mean, but your comment comes across to me like that. Yes, I know he's met many more students in his years of teaching, but that doesn't mean he can't like me more. Please don't use the word 'clinging', because I'm not. Hey, I see him either once or twice a day at school, but that's just in the corridor or when I'm coming back for the extra work he gives me. Oh, and please don't drabble on about the "... Ohmigod, you can't because it's illegal" talk. I've already heard it about a thousand times. I posted here because I want different opinions - not the same old one! I have told someone, but I only got the same reply.
